Fragments of landscape

The art project "Fragments of Landscape" explores the connection between materials and landscape. Both through abstract landscape mosaics made from recycled materials, and through materials with different forms of processing - with the goal of conveying how all materials once belonged to a landscape.

Abstract mosaics arise from the idea of a landscape seen from above – where the interaction and contrasts of nature and man-made things show forms and associations that open up for interpretation. At the same time, the origin of the materials used is conveyed, as the materials in the project are residual and recycled materials from various construction projects.

The project aims to focus on how we can achieve a more circular use of materials in the construction industry, and through art this is conveyed by exploring the connection between materials and landscape.

"Fragments of Landscape" presents twenty landscape mosaics that include a single, or several mosaics combined. In addition, installations of building materials with various forms of processing are exhibited. By creating distinctive shapes and associations of broken tiles, wood, brick and stone, the works will reveal an exploration process closely related to the origin of the materials.
