Duo exhibition

Circular thoughts, abstract shapes

Through the upcycling of art, Ueland and Bothner want to increase knowledge, awareness and commitment to a more sustainable use of resources in the construction industry. Sculptural objects and structures are built from various recycled building materials that showcase new forms and associations. At the same time, the origin of the materials used is conveyed, both through the works themselves and through a digital platform. With the exhibition, they aim to find beauty in waste materials, while challenging our understanding of art.

After working as architects for several years, both artists have specialized in the field of sustainability. With this project, they seek to convey the theme by focusing on the space of possibilities in reuse rather than the challenges. By exploring the borderland between form, space and landscape, the audience is invited to move between and around the works, to constantly discover new aspects of them. The purpose is to capture attention and arouse engagement, in parallel with conveying the history of the work as a building material.
